CGVista uploads a curated collection of map sources dedicated to wood surfaces — one of the most versatile and emotionally resonant materials in both architectural and product visualization.
Wood is warm in a way no other material quite replicates. It carries history in its grain — the slow growth of a tree made visible in every ring, knot, and fiber direction. That organic quality is also what makes wood difficult to get right in 3D. Grain that runs the wrong direction, reflectivity values that don’t match the species, or tiling that creates an obvious repeat pattern all break the naturalness that makes wood convincing in the first place.
This collection covers a broad range of wood types and surface treatments: raw unfinished grain, light and dark stains, lacquered and oiled finishes, weathered outdoor timber, reclaimed wood with visible wear, engineered veneer, and structural lumber. Each variant carries a different visual weight and suits a different design context — from the warmth of interior joinery to the roughness of exterior cladding.
Every texture has been evaluated for grain continuity and tiling performance across both large architectural surfaces and small-scale product applications. Normal and displacement maps are calibrated to capture fiber depth and surface variation without over-exaggerating the relief.
Albedo, normal, roughness, and displacement maps are included where available, giving you precise control over grain depth, finish sheen, and species-specific reflectivity.
Choose the grain that fits the mood — and let the wood bring the warmth.
